FINGERPRINTING

***Due to COVID we are not accepting fingerprints at this time.***

Effective Wednesday, March 25th, 2020, ALL individuals requiring to be fingerprinted will now be REQUIRED TO SCHEDULE an appointment.

**Fingerprinting will NOT be conducted on days which fall on a Federal Holiday

COURT ORDERED FINGERPRINT INFORMATION:

If individuals have been charged with a criminal offense, the following documents will be required/requested when arriving to the prison for a scheduled appointment:
1. Fingerprint Order
2. Photo Identification: Driver’s License or State Issued Photo Identification

APPLICANT INFORMATION:
If fingerprints are a requirement for a professional certification/license or as a pre-requisite for employment, the following documentation may be required:
1. Photo Identification : Driver’s License or State Issued Photo Identification
2. There is a $30 fee for all fingerprints for employment. Accepted forms of payment are: Cash, Money Order or Credit Card (If using a credit card, there is a processing fee of $3.95)
3. Any paperwork requesting fingerprints if necessary.

Reminder:
WEAPONS, CIGARETTES, LIGHTERS, CELL PHONES, ELECTRONIC DEVICES (and any other contraband) are NOT PERMITTED inside the Prison. Please lock ALL items in your vehicle or use the lock boxes outside the door prior to entry.

 

POSTING BAIL

Bail for District Magistrate cases can be posted at the Columbia County prison during the hours listed below:

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday Anytime

 

To post bail Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., you must go to the Magisterial District Judge's office which set the bail. The phone number for each District Magistrate office is listed on the Columbia County web site http://columbiapa.org under Offices and Agencies, choose District Justices.
